-band trip was really fun. Jazz band did great (especially our senior trombone in his solo :D) and we got a gold in the parade. And I rode my first two roller coasters.

-AP ASSASSINS. Basically, our AP world history class is engaging in war :3 We were each assigned to “kill” one person with a nerf gun before 3 days is up, and once we kill that person we kill their target and so on. We can’t shoot during school hours because laws so you have to be creative especially since a lot of us don’t drive xD My target is fairly easy, I’m hoping to get them tomorrow morning. mwahahaha.

If Earth Had Rings

First off, they would be really pretty to look at. They would also dominate the sky in both night and day at exactly the same place as they would never rise nor set. And at night you would see the Earth’s shadow swing across the rings, like in the 4th photo here.

However, life would be very different on Earth if this were the case. Nocturnal animals would have a hard time being nocturnal, as the light reflecting from the rings would illuminate the night.

Because we are closer to the Sun than Saturn is, the rings would be more rocky than ice, making them less bright but still pretty bright. In fact, you would see far less stars at night (living anywhere other than the equator or the arctic circle) because of the light pollution and not to mention ruin most meteor showers because of that.

During the day the rings would block sunlight in certain regions of the planet creating wild weather cycles and effecting plant life as well. So basically, they would be definitely pretty to look at but they would also make a whole lot of things screwy.

I didn’t know this. So I looked it up and - HE ACTUALLY DID.

‘I keep my van well stocked. It’s got a proper machine that dispenses Mr Whippy ice cream and I buy my lollies wholesale – 50 for a tenner – so I never run short.

I’m not allowed to sell my merchandise. I’d need a licence for that. ‘I tend to avoid July and August, but the rest of the year I’ll drive around the local villages and if I see some kids looking like they’re in need of ice creams, I’ll pull over and dish them out for free. They’ll say, “Ain’t you Ron Weasley?” And I’ll say, “It’s strange, I get asked that a lot.”
